I just finished Hornby's latest, A Long Way Down, which is his typical great work. What I've noticed in his novels after High Fidelity that he always slips in an obscure reference to High Fidelity somewhere in the book. In About a Boy, he mentions going to a record store where the employees are surly and stuck up. In How to be Good, she has a neighbor who's quiet but obsessive about records (Dick). In this one, I was looking for some scene with JJ running into Barry or something, since he was the musical character. Did I just miss it or was it not there?
